General Information

The University of Arizona offers two graduate-level programs leading to a specialization in teaching children who are visually impaired--TVI, or Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments and O&M or Orientation and Mobility Specialist.

Nationally recognized for excellence, these two programs prepare individuals to provide services in these challenging and rewarding professions. Our graduates are successfully employed in school districts, special schools, and agencies in Arizona as well as in other states across the country. Financial assistance is often available to students enrolled in either program.

If you are considering a career in one of these professions, this site provides information on applying to these programs, which are housed in the College of Education's Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation, and School Psychology. This site also provides on-going information to those already enrolled. Choose a link at the left to learn more.
